These terms govern access to and use of this website. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. These are website terms
These terms apply only to use of the website. They do not form, replace or amend a quotation, purchase order, appointment, employment agreement, subcontract, supply agreement or other contract for services, works, labour, equipment or products.
Submitting a form, requesting a survey, asking for a quotation or sending a CV does not by itself create a contract, employment relationship, agency relationship or obligation to accept work or an application. Any business relationship is subject to separate written terms agreed by the relevant parties.
3. Website information
Website content is provided for general information. Project descriptions, photographs, accreditations, statistics, service descriptions, estimated benefits and other materials may be summarised, may relate to a particular time or project, and may change.
We take reasonable care when preparing website content, but it is not technical, legal, financial, energy, engineering, health and safety or other professional advice. You should obtain advice and a written proposal appropriate to your circumstances before acting or committing expenditure.
No website statement is a binding quotation, guarantee, warranty or representation about availability, programme, price, performance, savings, planning, grid connection, funding, certification or regulatory compliance. Those matters must be confirmed in an applicable written contract.
4. Changes and availability
We may update, suspend, withdraw or restrict any part of the website without notice. We do not guarantee that the website or any content will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors. We may restrict access for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.
We are not obliged to keep information current, although we may correct or update it when appropriate.
5. Acceptable use
You must use the website lawfully and must not:
- breach any applicable law or another person’s rights;
- send unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, misleading or infringing material;
- introduce malware, malicious code or other harmful technology;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, accounts, data or connected systems;
- interfere with, overload, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the website or its security;
- scrape, harvest or extract data by automated means except where permitted by law or agreed by us in writing;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, authority or relationship with an organisation; or
- use website content to compete with us, create a misleading association or support an unlawful activity.
We may suspend or block access and report conduct to the appropriate authority where we reasonably believe these terms or the law have been breached.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website and its text, design, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, software and other content are owned by or licensed to Watters Contracts and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
You may view the website and print or download reasonable extracts for your own lawful, non-commercial reference. You must not reproduce, modify, republish, sell, license, distribute, frame, remove credits from or commercially exploit website content without written permission from the relevant rights holder.
Watters Contracts names, logos and branding may not be used in a way that suggests approval, sponsorship or association without prior written permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
7. Information you send us
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through the website is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights. Do not send confidential project information, trade secrets, special-category personal data or criminal-offence information through a general enquiry form unless we have asked you to do so and an appropriate secure method has been agreed.
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. A job application or CV is used only in connection with Watters Contracts’ own recruitment and related legal or administrative requirements, not to provide an employment-agency service.
8. Links and third-party services
The website may link to or embed maps, videos, social networks, client sites and other third-party content. These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that we endorse or control the third party. We are not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy, terms or privacy practices of third-party services.
If you link to this website, the link must be fair, lawful and must not damage our reputation or imply an association or endorsement that does not exist. You must not frame the website on another site. We may withdraw linking permission.
9. Viruses and security
We take reasonable measures to protect the website, but we cannot guarantee that it will be secure or free from bugs, malware or other harmful material. You are responsible for using suitable devices, software, security controls and backups.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
Subject to that paragraph, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- the website and its content are provided without warranties or conditions that are not expressly stated;
- we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website content where project-specific advice or contractual confirmation should have been obtained;
- we are not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, third-party websites or services, incompatible technology, or a failure to follow reasonable security precautions; and
- for business users, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or reputation arising only from use of, or inability to use, this website.
Any liability arising under a separate quotation, appointment, contract or order is governed by that agreement rather than these website terms.
11. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the website and how to manage your preferences.
12. Governing law and courts
These terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to the website are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in another part of the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction.
13. General
If a provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. No person other than you and the website operator has a right to enforce these website terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a revised version on the website and changing the date above. Please check this page when you use the website.
