A Watters Contracts division
Commercial Solar, Battery Storage & EV Charging
Take greater control of your organisation's energy use with a system designed around your site, operating profile and future plans. WattSolar brings solar PV, battery storage and EV charging together with the electrical-contracting experience needed to deliver them safely and practically.
- Designed around your site and energy use
- Integrated with existing electrical infrastructure
- Clear guidance from assessment to commissioning
A practical energy plan for your premises
No two sites use energy in the same way. We begin with your objectives, available space, consumption profile and existing electrical infrastructure. Our team can then recommend an appropriate combination of solar generation, storage and charging, with a clear scope, realistic assumptions and a coordinated route to installation.
WattSolar solutions
Choose the service that best matches your site, or start with an assessment if you are considering a combined system.
Commercial Solar PV
Generate more electricity on site with a commercial solar PV system planned around your premises, daytime demand and existing electrical infrastructure. WattSolar assesses practical fit before recommending equipment or capacity.
Explore Commercial Solar PVBattery Storage
Store energy for use when it is more valuable to your operation. WattSolar assesses battery storage against your demand profile, on-site generation, tariffs, electrical infrastructure and clearly defined resilience objectives.
Explore Battery StorageEV Charging
Plan workplace, fleet and visitor charging around real vehicle demand, dwell times, site capacity and future growth. WattSolar coordinates the electrical assessment, charger strategy, load management and installation route.
Explore EV ChargingMake energy work harder for your organisation
Generation, storage and charging work best when they are considered against the same site data and future plan.
- ✓Reduce exposure to purchased electricity where the site and usage profile support it.
- ✓Build a clearer, evidence-led route towards sustainability and carbon goals.
- ✓Coordinate generation, storage and charging as one electrical system.
- ✓Plan capacity and future expansion before equipment is installed.
- ✓Work with a team experienced in live commercial and operational environments.
From first assessment to a working system
Understand
Discuss your objectives, premises, energy use and timescale.
Assess
Review the site, available space, electrical infrastructure and consumption data.
Design
Prepare a tailored solution, scope, assumptions and estimated performance.
Deliver
Coordinate installation, testing, approvals and commissioning.
Support
Provide the agreed handover, monitoring guidance and ongoing support route.
Energy solutions for working sites
WattSolar is designed for organisations whose energy systems must work around real operations.
Electrical experience behind every energy project
WattSolar is part of Watters Contracts, bringing renewable-energy planning together with established electrical delivery experience. Recommendations are based on the site, available data and agreed operating requirements rather than generic equipment packages.
Clear guidance on changing funding schemes
Funding programmes and eligibility rules change. Where a relevant scheme is open, we can explain the technical information normally required for an application and how it relates to the proposed system. Funding is never guaranteed and should be confirmed with the scheme administrator before committing to work.
Frequently asked questions
Practical starting points for organisations considering a WattSolar project.
Is my site suitable for commercial solar PV?
Suitability depends on factors including available roof or land area, orientation and shading, structural condition, electricity use, site ownership and the local grid connection. A site and usage assessment is the best starting point.
Do I need battery storage with solar panels?
Not always. Storage can be valuable where generation and electricity demand occur at different times, where tariffs support time shifting or where the organisation has a defined resilience objective. We assess it separately rather than adding a battery by default.
Can solar and EV charging be planned together?
Yes. Reviewing generation, building demand, available capacity, vehicles and charging schedules together can produce a more coordinated design. The final arrangement depends on the site and operational requirements.
Will installation interrupt our operations?
The delivery plan should identify shutdowns, access requirements and high-risk activities before work begins. For live sites, works can be phased and coordinated around the agreed operational constraints.
Are grants available?
Schemes change and have specific eligibility rules. We can point to relevant current programmes and provide system information where appropriate, but the scheme administrator makes the funding decision.
